Tenebrist operates a flexible mandate holding a small handful of positions in businesses spanning US enterprise software and payments to Polish or Japanese brick-and-mortar consumer or healthcare companies.

Prior to launching Tenebrist, James was a Partner and Head of Investment Research at ShawSpring Partners, a multi-billion dollar concentrated technology crossover fund. James was responsible for sourcing and researching investments, portfolio management, and authoring all quarterly investment letters. James is a graduate of Boston University and is a CFA Charterholder.
